Nnlocks the potential
There are two things that may sway you against this lens, the size and the price. But, once you see the image quality this lens produces, any doubts will be gone. This lens shows what the micro four thirds system can achieve. It is by far the best lens as far as image quality goes of any lens I have tried.

A sharp, fast telephoto... love it.
When building my MFT kit, I tried to find lenses to match what I’m most used to on FF. I knew I needed a 70-200 2.8 equivalent, and this lens rivals my Canon V2 in terms of sharpness. The ability to reach out further to a 300mm equivalent and stay at f/2.8 in such a small lens is great. Some complain that this lens is large and heavy, and compared to my wife’s Oly 40-150R 3.5-5.6 it certainly is. Compared to the EF 70-200 2.8L IS and EF 300 2.8L IS lenses I’ve been shooting it’s super tiny and lightweight, not to mention staggeringly cheaper as a two-in-one FOV equivalent for me. Without the lens hood it’s honestly the size of one those 16oz insulated tumblers that are popular right now. It focuses lightning quick and is extremely sharp. If I had to nitpick something, it would be the bokeh. Even though it’s an equivalent 300mm field of view, the bokeh certainly isn’t as smooth or blurred as a native 300 2.8 on a FF or APS-C, but it’s not bad. There’s plenty of subject separation to be had, just don’t expect those dreamy 300 2.8 backgrounds that just melt away to nothing. The retracting lens hood and pinch lens cap is a nice touch, and helps go from bag to shooting in seconds with no fuss.

Nice sharp telephoto lens
This lens is sharp at even f2.8 and has good reach. The build quality is pretty good but its pretty heavy to carry around compared to other micro four third lenses. I use it for wildlife, sports, light macro and some portraits overall its good value for m

High performance telephoto zoom
I was initially hesitant to buy this lens because of the price, but the results I have gotten make it absolutely worth it. I've shot many great wildlife, sports, event, and even some portrait photos. It may be big and heavy in absolute terms, but not in relative terms (i.e. when you consider the zoom range, optical performance, and build quality). The fast f/2.8 aperture is arguably more important for this telephoto lens compared to super wide or normal lenses, for keeping shutter speeds up. The only thing to be aware of is the bokeh is not great under certain shooting conditions.
