Surprisingly tiny
Compared with other lenses. this lens is very small in power-off position. It provides a great IQ for the size and the mechanism is working flawlessly.

I have been warned to buy only pro lenses, but if you buy it with the kit it is worth it. I mean that a really good quality lense. Good material (not plastic). Also, resolution is good. But I just feel because the glass has a small diameter it is harder t

Great lens for cold-weather candids
This is a gem of a lens. I live in Alaska and love to go tromping through the snow with my camera--I bought this lens hoping I could just sling my camera with lens attached underneath my parka, and then unzip my coat and pull the camera out as needed. It worked great that way. I was leery of how the lens would operate in cold weather, but had no problems. Zoom and focus were fine down to zero degrees F. Haven't tested it below that yet. Once the zoom speed is adjusted in software the lens is downright zippy, and for my needs I have no complaints about the image resolution. No complaints.

Small, discrete, versatile social companion.
I bought this lens for the compact package it offered with my E-PM1, E-PM2 and E-PL7. I've also used it with my E-M10 Mk 2. I didn't expect a great deal in terms of optical performance, but I will say it handily beats my expectations. While this is by no means a "fast" lens, it is sharp, and the image stabilization and improved high ISO performance of Olympus' latest bodies make it a satisfactory solution in many environments. So it's outstanding virtue is good performance in a very small package that is unobtrusive while remaining flexible in social situations.

A great walk around lens.
To be honest I really didn't expect this lens to be as good as it is. It's has excellent contrast throughout the range and is surprisingly sharp even wide open at all focal lengths. I was a bit concerned over the E zoom, but I've found that on my PenF you can hold the shutter button down while turning the camera on and it'll focus and shoot in less than a second. I didn't opt for the automatic lens cap as I've had too many problems with those on P&S cameras. Instead I just protect the lens with a 37mm filter. The small form factor is wonderful and allows me to keep it tucked away in my jacket pocket, along with the ultra small 8mm fisheye lens cap. Highly recommended.
