Wide as the Grand Canyon and sharp as a tack.
I have only owned this lens for a month, but it's fantastic! I shoot a lot of real estate, where a wide angle is a must and started out with a 9-18mm f4. I needed a bit more frame out of my shots, so I picked up a 7-14mm and I'm glad I did. It's sharp and the distortion is minimal when you frame your scene correctly. The added speed is great too, can't go wrong with f2.8.

Awesome lens
Awesome lens. Starting out in real estate photography and it captures a lot within the frame.

Going Wide Angle - Another Great Pro Lens
Been my favorite wide angle lens. Works great if you shoot also with Panasonic GX8. This lens has been used with the OM-D E-M10. The Olympus Pro line lenses have not let me down yet including this lens. Images are sharp and bright.

Just Worth It -- And Then Some
So I also own the full compliment of M.Zuiko f2.8 PRO zooms, the 12-40mm and 40-150mm, as well as the 60mm Macro, 75-300mm II and the 9mm fisheye lenscap. And a strange thing has happened -- although I've schlepped the trio of PRO zooms with me to my last several trips and assignments, the one lens I've kept on my EM-1 most has been the 7-14mm f2.8 PRO. I'm constantly amazed at how well it covers indoor, outdoor, moving and static shots, especially in reportage, sightseeing and event situations, with or without flash (which it frames beautifully, BTW). I wasn't expecting it, but outside of specific object shots (like food, products, tools or insects) this has become my most practical lens. A couple of caveats: this is NOT a "fisheye'" but rather a rectilinear super wide-angle, so the distortion is not curved but rather comes from extremes in high or low angles or close proximity. This is a feature, not a bug, trust me, and characteristic of lenses like this. Also typical is the tendency to find any lens flare it can and leave you wanting a filter occasionally. But you easily learn to work within (or with) those quirks/constraints. That being said, this is just a great freaking lens.

Versatile Fisheye
I bought this lens to expand my focal range. However, I found the this lens is extremely versatile. I use it much more than I ever thought I would. The biggest surprise is how much I use it at the 7mm end of the scale. The widest "fish eye" position gives amazing results and it is much sharper than my only manual focus 16mm. But it is bigger than the old OM lens, I am not complaining though as it is a zoom and has that unbelievable F2.0 through the whole range. I have yet to experience any flare or aberrations. The close focus eliminates the need for a macro. Fantastic lens.
