Great camera for mountain climbing and adventures!
I love this camera. I travel and adventure all over the world as a professional mountain climbing guide. It's quality, light weight, and durability make this camera excellent for capturing the photos I want need for our website and blog. I've cracked the led twice during a my travels (my fault). Olympus service has always been quick to repair and return the camera back to me.

Lightweight, weatherproof, great for the outdoors!
I love my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II ! Let's start with why I chose Olympus: -I learned to shoot/develop/print with my dads Olympus OM-1 35mm film camera so I have quite a few old lenses and I knew I could get an adapter (save $$) - I haven't been brand loyal in the past: mostly purchasing kit bundles from Costco (Canon & Nikon DSLR) - I travel a lot and after a trip last year to Bali where I was battling the humidity and moisture with my Nikon I wanted to go for something more suited to the conditions I would be in. I purchased the E-M5 Mark II with kit lens about 1.5 years ago and last September I upgraded my kit lens with the 12-40 2.8 Pro (purchased reconditioned from this site) after I realized using the adapter and manual focus lenses was kind of a pain for most situations, and the kit lens wasn't cutting it. Fast forward to September 2018 and I still love my set up. Do I get gear envy from seeing all the new mirrorless full frame cameras...yes, but I also feel the same way when I see cute short hair cuts and I have long locks and vise versa . Let me tell you, I really try and take good care of my camera gear, but my camera comes everywhere with me. That means to the beach, backpacking, climbing, I've used it in the snow, rain, hail, freezing temperatures, and on 100+ degree days. It's survived a fall on pavement with only a little external damage. This camera is durable! There's a million more things I could come up with but one last noticeable stand out with this camera is the excellent battery life. My friends that shoot Fuji will go through two full charges I will still be on the first battery.

Great camera with lots of useful features.
Great camera with lots of useful features. Image quality, weather sealing, in-camera options (Live Composite, for example), great IBIS, all in a small package. Add the grip for better "feel" with larger lenses like the 40-150/2.8 and the 300/4. Leave the grip off for a perfect small travel kit with the 17/1.8 and 45/1.8. Use the 14-150 for a "superzoom" that tops any superzoom out there.

Rugged, Reliable, Weatherproof Camera that won' dissapoint
I've been using my OMD E-M5ii for a little over a year now. I purchased the camera because of its reputation for ruggedness, weather proof construction and light construction because my favorite activities are outdoors in all kinds of weather. I've used it in rain, snow and below zero temperatures and it has proven to be reliable without a fault. Olympus has created an incredibly powerful system with it's specialized programmable features that can be assigned to the function buttons. They make it easy for me to switch from macro settings to wildlife settings on the go in inclement conditions. I don't think that there is another system on the market that meets my needs so well.

A very powerful, but compact package.
Going from the E-M10 Mark I and then Mark II to this bad boy was a leap I’m glad I made. While the E-M10 is a wonderful camera and one of my all time favorites, the E-M5 Mark II is simply a more powerful tool while retaining the compactness we’ve come to appreciate from Olympus and m4/3. It has all the features I wanted and many I didn’t know I’d need. I’m still, after close to a year and a half of owning it, finding something new that helps me be a better photographer. I recommend the grips with the extra battery as an add-on.
