Very satisfied
Just bought a second battery to go with the Battery grip, although I would say the run time is very good for a single battery. They weigh almost nothing which is a plus too. My first battery is a year old and lasts just as long as the new one.

This battery keeps its charge a long time (I normally don’t use Live View on my E-M1 and have disabled a few options that might drain the battery, like the AF illumination). I can take hundreds of picture before it dies.

Charges quickly!
I spent the summer volunteering as an event photographer taking pictures at local festivals for 4ish hour shifts, and a fully charged battery often lasted the entire, with continuous shooting and fiddling with camera options.

A Very Good Battery
When you purchase the OM-D E-M1, you receive one lithium rechargeable battery; you will need more. The battery lasts approximately 2 hours with continual use with the back LCD on and takes about 3 hours to recharge. I recommend purchasing 2 additional batteries if you are near a power source to recharge. If you are in the wilds and no power source is available, you will obviously need even more spare batteries. With the back LCD off, you should be able to expect at least 1,000 shots from your M1 with the BLN-1. The BLN-1 has a reputation for lasting 10 years or more. While it is a bit pricey, the quality is worth it over the long run.

Stick with the real deal
I like to have two batteries and two SD cards for my E-M5 so if I ever have a problem with one I always have a backup. I rotate them in usage so they have even 'wear and tear'. When I bought the camera I bought a non-Olympus battery, but this died on me after less than a year (the original Olympus battery is still going strong). Needless to say I bought another Olympus this time.
