I have purchased 3 lens hoods so far in the past 18 months, and the last fell one off and broke today. This is simply unacceptable.

Too easy to lose
Today I Told myself I was going to lose after it fell off 4 times in 2 hrs. I reversed it so less likely. Got back to hotel and it’s gone. Can’t br too mad. I knew I was going to lose it after falling off so many times in the 3 weeks I owned this lens. That said, I sue hope Olympus listens to these bad reviews. Too many to th8nk it was just the one on my lens. Doubt I’ll buy a replacement. Maybe use rewards points but thinking I’d be wasting my points
You are all being too nice. It is shameful Olympus would have the audacity to allow this garbage out in the marketplace to fit on their beautiful product and have the audacity to charge $45 for it. It falls off, it breaks. I've gone through four of them in three years and got so frustrated I built my own out three separate generic parts. I'm back to this product. I've had my latest for three months and its two pieces have just separated on me, which is why I sound so frustrated. It takes so much of the pleasure away from enjoying the beautiful camera Olympus makes. My advice to Olympus: Either fix it or sell them in a four-pack for $10. It's junk as it stands now.
