This lens cap has a solid design and fits securely on to the M. Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II R lens. Very useful for those bright sunny days.

Good fit for the M. Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II R
I use this hood with the M. Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II R, which is the kit lens for my O-MD EM 10 Mark II. It fits tightly, but releases easily, should you be inclined to remove it. I routinely take it hiking, and it has never fallen off my lens. It does a good job of reducing glare / lens flare.

Loose and lost
I lost the decorative ring on the 14-42mm lens on my first long hike with my new E-PM2, so I bought this lens hood to replace the ring and improve the lens function. However, I was bothered by how loose the LH-40 hood fit on the lens. Sure enough, the hood came off somewhere during the first four miles of a ten-mile hike, and I am frustrated with what should be such a simple issue of making attachments stay in place. The hoods on the pro lenses on my full frame camera all snap in place in the same way and have never come off, so the technology can work well.
