We’ve assembled 19 lens elements into 14 groups to create the most complex Micro Four Thirds lens ever made, including Super ED, ED, E-HR, HR, and aspherical elements. Spherical and chromatic aberrations that often occur in fast, prime lenses are eliminated. Color fringing is thoroughly suppressed. All that’s left are clear, crisp images you can’t wait to show off.

    If you love shooting with shallow depth of field, the 25mm f1.2 PRO does it beautifully. Its high optical performance eliminates aberrations, distortion, and fringing in both focused and defocused areas, even with a wide open f1.2 stop.     Many autofocus lenses have a trade-off: they use multiple moving elements to reduce aberration, but their focusing speed slows down as a result. Fortunately, there are no sacrifices with the 25mm f1.2 PRO. At the heart of its design is a lightweight inner focusing mechanism that uses a single lens element. It provides ultra-fast ultra-sharp autofocus performance, even at the lens’ widest f1.2 aperture. The Movie and Still Compatible mechanism provides quiet, smooth focusing – a must have for videographers.

    TECHNOLOGY CREATES VERSATILITY

    The 25mm f1.2 PRO uses a tandem of coatings for ultimate shooting versatility. Zuiko Extra-Low Reflection Optical (ZERO) lens coating is adapted from multi-layer film disposition technology in Olympus’ industry-leading microscopes. Z Coating Nano, our most advanced coating yet, adds nanoparticle technology for increased effectiveness. Ghosting and flares caused by in-frame light sources are virtually eliminated. The customizable Lens Function Button (L-Fn) lets you control your choice of camera functions right from the lens barrel, including Focus Peaking, AF Stop, and Magnify. The conveniently-located Manual Focus Clutch on the lens’ focus ring lets you instantly shift between auto and manual focus. You can even preset a focus position using the easy-to-read distance meter, and by pulling the ring toward you, instantly return to that position from AF mode.

Stunning Image Quality

The 25mm f1.2 Pro Lens is super fast and sharp with such a shallow depth of field- it's stunning. Oh, and it's weatherproof, and it came with a lens hood... My only regret is not buying into the pro lenses sooner than I did.

Bokeh-licious!

Money well spent for this versatile and fast prime. I've used it for concerts in tight spaces, and wow is all I can say. I use it more and more as an everyday lens option too, day and night shooting, like the good 'ol days of shooting film.

An agile, high quality normal lens

This lens appears large and heavy for a normal lens, but it is very well balanced on the E-M1 mark II. I have only used it for one event, but with low light and fast moving pets the f/1.2 aperture provided sharp and blur free results. I was very happy to have the lens.
