Great sharp shooting lens for wildlife!

I already own the M. Zuiko 300mm PRO and 40-150mm PRO and this has a been a great addition allowing me have zoom ability to get shots I might miss the 300mm prime. I use it with the TC-14 teleconverter and am amazed at how great and sharp the pictures are. The weight is also a big plus, it is light enough to carry around all day hand held. It is my 'go-to' lens now along with the 40-150mm PRO for my wildlife photography. Great addition Olympus.

Fantastic lens, especially with E-M1X and MC-14

I've enjoyed bird photography for many years and was hoping that a lens like the 100-400 mm f/5-6.3 would be introduced. This is an excellent lens, especially when used with Bird Detection AI Subject Tracking and the MC-14 teleconverter. The combination of this lens on my E-M1X feels well balanced and handles incredibly well. Image quality has been excellent, even with the MC-14 teleconverter. The MC-20 also works well... but one does need very good light to work with f/13 on the long end. The focus range limiter is something that I use regularly as it helps eliminate potential focus hunting. I only use the in-lens IS when shooting at shutter speeds under 1/50 as the IBIS in my E-M1X seems smoother and more effective. So, I normally have the in-lens IS turned off. The mount on my lens seems a bit sloppy and does not fit nearly as tight as any of my other M.Zuiko lenses. Olympus Tech Support indicated that this is 'normal'. I would have given the lens 5 stars except for the tightness of the lens mount.

Great wildlife lens

The results so far have been been very good. In addition to the 'reach', the close focus is marvelous - will be my go to lens for Butterflies and Dragonflies. The build is surprisingly good for the price and the IS works as advertised. Very happy so far.
