      HIGH QUALITY OPTICS

      PORRO PRISM DESIGN

See all the details. With the Explorer Series’ exceptional image quality, you’ll never miss the unique coloration of a bird’s wing or the patterns of a dragonfly. Porro Prism technology provides a high-definition stereoscopic view and edge-to-edge clarity that’s best-in-class.

Birds are quick! So are insects, athletes, and cars. Never miss the action with the broad field of view provided by the Explorer Series’ large-diameter objective lenses.

      MAGNIFICATION

A magnification factor of 10 provides an image as if you are 10 times closer to the subject. The Explorer Series offers magnifications between 8x and 16x.

      FIELD OF VIEW

The field of view is the angle of the viewing field measured in degrees. For each binocular model, the indicated specification reflects the size of the viewing field at a distance of 1000m from the observation point.

      EXIT PUPIL

The exit pupil is the diameter of the light visible through the eyepiece. It’s calculated by dividing the objective lens diameter by the magnification factor. An exit pupil of 2mm is adequate for daytime use, while an exit pupil of 5mm to 7mm is appropriate for low light environments. The Explorer Series offers an exit pupil of 5mm.
