The dust and splashproof lens mount adapter makes it possible to mount any existing Four Thirds lens on a Micro Four Thirds standard-compliant digital camera, including Olympus OM-D Series and Olympus PEN Series models. Because of its weathersealing, this adapter is preferable to the earlier MMF-2 and MMF-1 if you will be shooting in inclement or uncertain weather.
It is ideal for getting the most value out of your weathersealed and Super High Grade Four Thirds-compliant lenses. AF shooting using Live View is possible with lenses featuring contrast AF compatibility. When a contrast AF incompatible lens is used, the AF assist function engages.
With the MMF-3 Four Thirds lenses can be connected to the outstandingly small Micro Four Thirds mount. Now also being dust and splash-proof the MMF-3 is perfect for the E-M5 and pro or top pro Four Thirds lenses, which are also dust and splash-proof and therefore perfect for all weather conditions. It is possible to use the whole range of Four Thirds lenses with a Mirco Four Thirds body* and this only with an adapter with a weight of 42g.
*If a ZUIKO DIGITAL lens is used, which is incompatible to high-speed contrast AF it is recommended to shoot in the "S-AF+MF" mode and adjust if it is necessary.

A bit pricey, but great if you have old 4/3 lenses
I have the the E-M1 and several 4/3 lens. My 14-54, 50-200 and even the Sigma 30mm 1.4 work fine via the adapter. I am glad I am able to use my old 4/3 lenses on the E-M1.

Great adapter for your old zuiko lenses
Bought this adapter to use my Zuiko 50-200mm lens on my new camera. The AF is still effective and fast; and its dust and splashproof. Its also relatively small and light, so you dont feel a big difference. If you want to keep your great zuiko lenses, its a must.

Happy to be able to use my old 12-60mm lens
I have the 12-60mm which has served me very well with my E-30. I also have a 40-150 which did not get a lot of use. When I upgraded to the OMD EM-1 M2 I learned about this MMF-3 adapter and it became a no-brainer as I did not want to part with my 12-60. I did not do a ton of research, but just hoped it would work well. Having used it several times now, I can say it works great. No discernible difference in behavior on my EM-1. I've actually not even tried my old 40-150 yet as I decided to buy the Olympus 40-150 f2.8 and have been extremely happy with it... but that is another review.
As I own a lot of 4/3 lenses (14-54mm, 50-200mm, 50mm, fisheye, etc), so an adapter is crucial. The advantage of the MMF-3 : it's weathersealed. So I can keep my 50-200mm, but also I can bring it with my OMD in the rain! The AF is very quick and accurate, especially with the 50-200mm.

My Expensive Glass Doesn't Have to Gather Dust
The MMF-3 lets me use my 4/3rds 12-60mm and 50-200mm lenses (with and without the EC-14/20 teleconverters) on my OM-D E-M1. Auto Focus works well even with the teleconverters. I have even used it to connect a legacy MF 300mm Pentax SMCT lens without problems. It is manual focus of course and you have to manually stop down the lens, but focus peaking and light metering work great. I'll probably invest in some micro 4/3rds pro lenses eventually, but the MMF-3 means I can put off the expense till I can better afford it.
