Most used lens
I'm still learning about photography but its been a joy to learn using this 17mm f1.8 lens. It gets the most use for me compared to the kit lens and 45mm. Its small, sharp, and fast. Its great for group pictures and for wide landscapes. So much fun to use! PROS: 35mm ff equivalent which is ideal for street pull back the ring for manual. again great for learning photography very sharp corner to corner auto focus is FAST fairly small lens. almost pocketable CONS: no hood. found one on amazon - JJC LH-J48B Professional Lens Hood for Olympus 17mm 1.8 Black Zuiko Lenses Replaces Olympus LH-48B. But then you need a replacement lens cover - CowboyStudio Univeral 46mm Center Pinch Snap-on Front Lens Cap with Leash for Canon DSLR Camera. started me down a road of endless gear purchasing... lol

I didn't want this lens...
I was going to purchase the 75mm 1.8 (an incredible lens by the way) by itself. However, I noticed a great deal on the pair of them as a "Portrait Lens Kit." The deal was too good to pass up, I highly recommend it. Anyway, I was not surprised how much I loved the 75mm - it is razor sharp! What has surprised me is how much I keep going to the 45mm 1.8 and how I am growing to love it more and more as I use it. As a 90mm full-frame equivalent focal length, it is right in the sweet spot for portraiture. It puts you at a comfortable working distance with your model and gives a nice de-focused background when shot with wide apertures. I used to shoot portraits with a full-frame Canon 70-200 2.8L zoom. The size and weight difference is huge! I can easily handhold the 45mm 1.8 for extended sessions without fatigue. That means I am getting shots I would have missed with the heavier setup - because I can keep the camera up to my eye longer. I highly recommend this lens! If you have use for a fast, light, short telephoto - this is it!

My go-to lens
This is my go-to lens for documenting my life at home. It is exactly the right length for photos of my kids, dogs, etc. I love to capture the environment and context along with the person, so I have this attached to my OMD-EM10 75% of the time.

Wonderful little prime!
This lens is a tiny and super lightweight fast prime lens that I very much enjoy shooting with. It feels well made even though it weighs next to nothing, and it's a stellar performer in sharpness and focuses quickly and silently. Its a great addition to your bag when you want to shoot in low light without a flash or to get some subject-background separation with its fast aperture. I'd recommend it highly! It's one of my favorite lenses out any system that I've ever used.
