I am not a photographer, I am a snapshot taker. I bought the E PM1 to help me move to the next level, and I am not disappointed. The images are crisp and bright, and I love how fast the autofocus is. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone!
P.S. I haven't used the art filters, I'm not there yet with my skills so it wouldn't be fair to comment

I've been really happy with this camera, especially for the price. My friends and coworkers who have spent much, much more for cameras were also extremely impressed with the quality for the price, when compared to their expensive DSLR's. Of course, at the price, you lose a few features found in higher-end cameras, but you'll likely discover an easy work-around using the great and super-customizable menus.

The pictures are so crisp and clear! I love the art features, and how fast the auto focus is, and I love the fact that I control the whether or not I want the flash on... even when the setting is on automatic. I love this Camera!

I took some of the best film photos of my life with a Pen EE that was lovingly passed down in my family, so I always wanted to reconnect with the Pen E brand.
After learning about the E-PM1, I jumped at the opportunity to bring this into my digital camera line-up. And I am so so so glad I did.
The best camera is "the one you have with you" when you are in that moment that has to be captured by a photo. The E-PM1s size makes it the camera that you can always have with you for great moments. And its lens, action and software make it powerful enough to capture great images. For example, I have already had several images using a E-PM1 "art" setting were so good that they have been published in a regional economic journal.
I have used a variety of SLR, medium and PaS formats, so I know their strengths and weaknesses well. I am so happy to have reconnected with the Pen E family. It is taking my love of photography and advancing the quality of my photography so fast. I am sure it will do the same for you, too, regardless of what your current level is. Go get an E-PM1. You will be thrilled with it! And you will be thrilled with the Customer Service. I had some questions about a few things and I received email responses within minutes (from "Sam") that were spot on as to answering my question. Honestly, I have never experienced better customer service in the past 10 years than this.

I'm still learning to use all of the features, but have taken some great pics so far.
One thing would help; it would be nice if the instrucion book had more info on each function.

The only features I miss would be a built in flash and being able to look via a built in viewfinder.

I wanted a relatively compact camera that would perform well indoors. This camera has delivered great results.

I love the speed of this camera , it is what it claimed " fastest Pen camera in the world " , the video 's sound is so clear that exceed my expectation ! The picture quality is impressive , especially in a low light scene :)

I was searching for a replacement for my very outdated point and shoot, but was hesitant to replace it with another point and shoot. I find that I'm always disappointed when I take that camera places and think of how much better the photos would have been if I would have lugged my D-SLR around. This is the perfect solution. small enough that I can easily carry it in a beach bag/large purse with the standard lens, or I can take a whole kit (additional lens, flash, extra battery) with extra space in my D-SLR bag. I love the many accessories and options available for this camera, especially the lens converter. I would like to find filters though.

Love the fast focus and sharp pictures - have yet to seriously take movies. Once I got the thing configured for me, a more advanced photographer, I'm pretty happy with it. I kind of like the single toggle button but it is just too small - try it with fat fingers or while wearing a glove. It does better than expected. I bought it knowing its not exactly what I want...
...I've been waiting for a PEN Digital that reflects more than just the body design of the PEN-F but the simplicity too. I'd trade all the art filters (can do these on a PC), iAuto, and other novice extras for more straightforward exposure control and OM-4 style multi spot metering. The OM-4 was the only camera I could shoot [low dynamic range] slide film without ever bracketing. Never once missed an exposure.
C'mon Olympus, we know you can. Why not make a PEN-om4 that a pro would be proud to drop in their jacket pocket?
