M. Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f2.8 Macro
This high quality macro lens is ideal for shooting under a wide range of conditions, including other applications such as landscape and portrait shooting. Featuring a closest focusing distance of 7.4 inches, excellent close-up capability with 1X* magnification, and dust-/splash-proof construction. This lens incorporates 13 lens elements in 10 groups with extensive use of special glass materials such as ED (Extra-low Dispersion), HR (High Refractive index) and E-HR (Extra-High Refractive index) elements to completely eliminate the chromatic aberrations that can be noticeable with telephoto macro lenses.
The new FR-2 Adapter Ring provides easy attachment of Olympus’s RF-11 ring flash or STF-22 twin flash allowing for professional and easy TTL Macro Flash Illumination at Macro working distances.
The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm f2.8 Macro incorporates Olympus's exclusive MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism, which is based on a floating-type inner focusing system with three drive systems resulting in no change in the overall lens length during autofocusing. Other features such as focus limit switching and a shooting distance/magnification indicator window enhance macro shooting control and precision.

Give it time
When I first bought this lens I was really not happy with it. It took me some time to get used to it and the interface with the EM-5. Now I am quite pleased with the results I am getting and should have some shots in the Gallery with the lens that you can check out.
The AF/MF option allows me to get nice sharp results which I usually fuzz up a bit with my texturing but, that isn't the lens fault. -

Excellent lense
I use the macro lense to shoot while we're teaching at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking. I love the fact that I can switch from taking a portrait to the detail of a joint or tool without changing lenses. Crisp, quick focus. Excellent!

Perfekt Macro
Still on preorder, but I got my lens in September (09.19)
As good as the FT 50mm Macro, but it is much faster on the E-M5. It is lightweight and sealed. So you can take pictures under all weather condition together with the sealed E-M5.
Excellent pics quality. Thumb up!!!!!
Perfect buy for my OMD E-M5 -

A fantastic little lens
Users of micro 4/3 cameras have been waiting for a macro lens to rival the Oly 50mm f/2 lens for the 4/3 system. With *this* lens, their wait is finally over -- it's light, compact, and produces beautiful macro images. It's an excellent portrait and telephoto lens, too -- so it's very versatile.

excellent macro lens
Image quality is fantastic, probably as good as can ever be wished for in a lens this small. Weather sealed & good price make it an even better deal.
The focus limit dial on the side seems a bit odd to me, hope it doesn't break or jam up.
No lens hood included? LH-49 isn't even for sale yet? That's why I didn't give five stars.
