Zuiko Lens ED 90-250mm f2.8
This powerful super-telephoto zoom lens with large-aperture (fixed F stop type) is equivalent to 180-500mm on a 35mm camera. Only fixed focal super-telephoto lens could have provided wide-open F2.8 shots in the past, however, this lens provides F2.8 shots in entire zoom area. Therefore, it can give the best framing at once even if you are in the restrained shooting spot. The best choice for the nature and sports photographer. Luxurious three ED lenses are used to give the highest image quality with optimal resolution and contrast.
Directly compatible with E-System cameras. Compatible with Micro Four Thirds digital cameras (PEN\OM-D) through use of the MMF-2 or MMF-3 (Four Thirds Lens Adapter to Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter). The MMF-3 is dust and splash proof for use with that type of lens on a dust and splash proof body. Note, AF performance may diminish as compared to being on an E-System body.

Excellence Come with a Price
This an excellent lens which comes at a price, which is not simply measured in dollars. If you want a first class glass, you have to pay the price. It's a heavy lens and requires a sturdy tripod. If you aren't up to lugging serious camera equipment about, then this is not for you. Fast focus, excellent clarity, crisp shots are what you'll get. However, I found that using a 1.4 X Converter results in a soft focus. It's built like a tank and is excellent when weather conditions are anything but. It's the perfect accessory for the E-3/E-5, provided you got the muscle for it.Read More
Excellent lens but slow to focus on OM-D EM-5
While focusing is slow (under 3 sec) with AF-S/MF on an EM-5 or GH2, the resulting images are excellent. The TC 1.4X doesn't slow focusing and the images are plenty sharp @ F/4.5. The lens support ring is much needed when using this lens, especially with an m43 camera body. I also own the 50-200mm F/2.8-3.5 lens, and while it is optically less excellent than the 90-250mm lens, the significantly lighter and smaller 50-200mm lens gets a lot more use because it is so portable/packable. Please Olympus, produce your promised new hybrid focusing m43/43 camera to make your big zooms focus fast and continuously!Read More
I purchased this lens shortly before a trip to Hawaii. It is very large and requires its own carrying bag. It is heavy so a tripod is almost a must; I have occasionally used it freehand but more often with a tripod or monopod. It provides outstanding sharp photos at long distances; with the f2.8 stopping action is great (surfers; shore objects from a ship a mile or two off shore). I have used it at sporting events and have even used it for some astronomy work (great for the moon). It was perfect for several graduations. I generally use it with my E3 body, which makes the whole system very weather resistant; I have also used it with my older Evolt 500 body with equally impressive results. It is an expensive lens but I have never regretted the investment in it; I've gotten more use from it than I expected when I purchased it.Read More
