  • QUALITY
  • VERSATILE AND AFFORDABLE

If your typical “walking-around” kit is an Olympus PEN or OM-D mounted with a standard kit zoom lens or wide-angle prime, the 40-150 is a great affordable option for a versatile two-lens set-up. Indoors or out-, this compact and lightweight telephoto zoom will help you capture all your stories.

COMPATIBLE MECHANISM

One of this lens’s most interesting features is the unique-to-Olympus Movie & Still Compatible mechanism, or MSC. This technology provides amazingly fast – and nearly silent – autofocus operation. You’ll really notice the benefit when you play back your HD video and the only thing you hear is the ambient background noise in the scene you were filming; what you won’t hear is the sound of the lens moving as it changes focus. With MSC and a great focal length range, you can record everything from the big game to vacation footage with ease.

Distance on a Budget
This is a great lens for the price. Small, Lightweight, durable and to be a kit lens, I'm quite impressed with the sharpness. At this price point you can't go wrong with this lens.

Worth way more than its cost.
This lens is outstanding for its price range. One of the sharpest kit style lenses i have ever used. I recommend this lens to anyone that wants a small/compact lens but wants the distance and is on a budget.

Great budget telephoto zoom lens!
The image quality for the longer side of the focal length could be better, especially when compared to high end lens like 40-150mm PRO or 4/3 50-200mm. But you've got to keep in mind that this lens is around $200, and sometimes even around $100 with discount. For the price of this lens, you really can't complain about the image quality, as it is very sharp from 40-70mm focal length. And the best thing about this lens is that it's super light. Overall, decent lens with decent image quality with high mobility at very approachable price.
