Unbelievably Capable Camera - a HUGE upgrade!
As an OMD-E-M1 user for almost 3 years I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new MK II version, but I wasn't prepared for the extent of the upgrades Olympus has packed into this camera. The new grip is amazing and, for me, ergonomically perfect. The Menu system has been vastly improved and is much more logical to use, although I wish they had kept the color coding. The IBIS is yet another step up and incredible, and the auto focus system and tracking has been improved as well, not to mention the sequential shooting capabilities which are extraordinary. The new articulating screen is a huge plus and very welcome, and the Pro-Capture mode is something I have been using a lot, especially in my equestrian photography - with virtually no lag whatsoever it ensures nailing the shot. The E-M1 Mk II is truly a professional's camera. Thanks to the Mk II I have now finally compeleted my shift from FX to the M43 format. If I have any beef with the system, it's the ISO performance ... hopefully that is something that can be improved over time; but that said, I am able to compensate somewhat by choosing the way and the when of how I shoot.

The Olympus OMD EM1 Mark II, WOW what a camera!
As an owner of an Olympus OMD EM-1, I am a believer in the micro four thirds format. The new EM1 Mark II nicely compliments my system. Both cameras have very good image quality, durability, and the perfect size for me. What sets the Mark II apart are the fantastic upgrades! Although I am primarily a still photograher, It is great to now have Cinema 4K Video! I shoot a lot of event photography and travel photography. Olympus PRO lenses are hard to beat for image quality. The Mark II beats everything in its class for burst rate. I have shot some wonderful high speed bursts at my Grandson swinging a baseball bat. PRO Capture really works to capture that exact point when the bat meets the ball! Autofocus is super accurate and with my new PRO 12-40mm f2.8 lens, my images are tack sharp. Portraits have excellent bokeh. I am amazed at the long exposures now possible with the improved 5-Axis Image Stabilization. With a compact size and controls that fit perfectly in your hand, the Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II is a joy to use. This camera is a precision photographic tool that is and worth every penny. I am looking forward to explore its many features.

Fast camera, great built in IS, high quality video/4k, small size make it great for travel
This is my first real camera as I wanted to get more into photography, and I'm happy I bought it! I shoot a lot of action sports so I wanted a fast camera so I wouldn't miss a moment. The built in IS paired with the new 12-100mm lens make crisp handle held shots every time, and videos look like your using a gimbal.I admit the image quality might not be as good other cameras (DSLR) out there but it's worth having a smaller set-up for traveling. Battery last amazingly long too.
